Knee injury kept Jeremy Lin from Wuhan

Taiwan will not recruit Golden State Warriors guard Jeremy Lin for the 2011 FIBA Asia Championship in Wuhan, China due to Lin’s knee injury, Chinese Taipei Basketball Association (CTBA) President Ting Shou-chung said Friday.

Lin is under rehabilitation for his knee injury and the Warriors medical team advised him against playing in competitions, Taiwanese media quoted Ting as saying.

Due to the NBA lockout, Ting thought Taiwan had a good opportunity to land Lin, but that was not the case after the injury had been reported.

Lin is scheduled to arrive in Taiwan for a 10-day promotional trip in August, including an appearance at NIKE Summer League Finals and a four-day basketball camp and other activities.
