NBA MVP Derrick Rose concludes Taiwan tour
Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls finished his two-day trip to Taiwan today.
Take a look at the following videos. The first one was Rose’s interview with Videoland TV. The English efficiency of the host was less than desired and the questions he posed were…urghh…You know.
But I like the second video in which you can see Rose played with hand puppets, one of Taiwan’s best known traditional folk arts.
Video: EABC semi Taiwan 69-61 Korea
The video shows Taiwan’s 69-61 semifinal loss to Korea in the 2011 EABC. Taiwan trailed for most of the game but was able to stay close. Wu Tai-hao’s dunk in the last minute, as shown in the video clip, cut the deficit to two, 63-61. However, Taiwan did not score again.

(via Roundballcity.com) Technical consultant Bob Hill spoke to Taiwan NT before a practice session.
The video was filmed by Taiwanese entertainer Blackie, a former basketball player. He is now marketing manager of Taiwan Beer.
Video: 2010 HBL Star – Chou Yi-hsiang
Taishan High School’s 190cm senior forward Chou Yi-hsiang was considered one of two brightest stars in Taiwan’s high school ball this year. The other one is 194cm sophomore forward Hu Lung-mao of Song-shan High School. Chou helped Tai-shan to its best finish in school history (4th place) while Hu helped Song-shan to win two straight titles.
Chou has an explosive first-step and jumping ability. He can shoot and dash. Pretty much a do-it-all player in high school basketball, Chou was seen as the second coming of Chen Hsin-an, one of Taiwan’s top players in recent years.
